Favorites in the men's qualification did not falter

The Boulder World Cup kicked off at Letná with the men's qualification. In front of a large crowd and under sunny skies, all the favorites performed excellently and advanced to the twenty-man semifinal.

The best performance of Friday morning was delivered by Frenchman Sam Avezou and Japanese climber Soratu Anraku, who solved four out of five boulders. Anraku will be joined in tomorrow's semifinal by four compatriots, including three-time world champion Tomoa Narasaki. Also making it through the qualification were fresh Olympic combined winner Toby Roberts and Czech star Adam Ondra.

The men's semifinal featuring the elite of climbing is scheduled for Saturday at 12:00.
